I believe you are referring to another question about the 1/4" gap between the jaws of the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider # RP30051, which is somewhat normal. What you can do to keep the Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2" Hitches # ERT00108 from loosening up - along with torquing to spec - is apply some Loctite Blue Stick Threadlocker # LT37614.
